Inspired by Caribbean holiday music, Latin Dance celebrates the energy of poolside dance steps, warm breezes, aquamarine-blue beach waves and sunshine. The left hand rhythm is widely featured in today’s popular Latin music, and has its roots in djembe rhythms from West Africa. The alternating fifth develops wrist rotation. The melody is loosely inspired by Spanish trumpet music and develops thumb tucks through fingering sequences. It’s got that Latin flair!
