The music is a celebration of the cosmic phenomenon known as Perseid Meteor Shower. Each summer, the Earth passes through the space dust left behind by the comet Swift-Tuttle, which causes this spectacular celestial event. Twinkle motifs are woven together in simplified original form, inverted form and with whole tone scale effects. Black key glissandi play a starring role as they glide and sparkle down the piano like shooting stars.
